Alison Krauss and Union Station Return to DPAC With Jerry Douglas

One of the most celebrated acoustic acts in American music returns to the Triangle this spring. Alison Krauss & Union Station — featuring dobro master Jerry Douglas — plays the Durham Performing Arts Center as part of their 2026 spring run, the group's first full-band tour in years. The Union Station lineup has been the gold standard of bluegrass-adjacent ensemble work since the 1990s, and Krauss's voice remains one of the most pristine instruments in American roots music.

The DPAC's 2,700-seat room is ideal for the kind of acoustic clarity the band requires — the hall's acoustics rival Ryman Auditorium for bluegrass intimacy. Expect material from the new album alongside the Union Station standards, plus Douglas's signature dobro breakdowns that have earned him more Grammys than any other living acoustic guitarist.

If you're going: DPAC is in downtown Durham, walking distance from American Tobacco Campus restaurants. Pre-show dining at Mateo Bar de Tapas or Parts & Labor is the local move.
